Day 21 of the shutdown.  One of the few (very few) upsides is that I’ve been able to spend a lot of time on this blog.  Although it’s been a lot of fun, I’m so ready to go back to work.  Even more ready for a paycheck!  Also, I haven’t been able to whip up some enthusiasm to get into my craft room and create something.  I thought I would spend a lot of time in there finishing some quilts, creating some greeting cards, making a pillow or two.  Every time I go in there I walk right back out.  Depression?  Maybe. A nice warm fire is taking the chill out of the room. One of the nice things about Texas is that it’s only cold for a couple of months each year.

Now that I have the website up and running I think I’ll spend time in the craft room tomorrow. I need to get the quilts for the grand daughters completed! Time to stop procrastinating. I’ve been in a quilting funk the last year or so. I have so many projects that I want to get started on. But I need to finish the two quilts I have in progress first.

Weather today, cold drizzle. 37 degrees

Needless to say I’m not happy, but, I have to make the best of it. My husband and I have caught up on a lot of shows and movies. We have watched two versions on Wyatt Earp. Read More
